Who I am

I'm a full-stack software developer who enjoys building and experiencing novel technologies.

My strongest domain is Java & Spring (Spring Boot), with hands-on work spanning React/Next.js, Node.js/Express, and infrastructure pieces like Docker, Nginx, Redis, and MySQL.

I'm especially interested in event-driven architectures and system design problems: message brokers, reliability patterns, migrations, and performance tuning.

I'm currently based in Ottawa / Kanata, Canada.

Experience - Solace Inc. (Full-Stack Software Developer Intern)

Kanata, ON - 01/2023-12/2023

  • Built and enhanced Spring Boot microservices integrated with Solace event brokers, supporting micro-frontend architectures
  • Designed RESTful APIs enabling real-time broker scanning, configuration-as-code validation, and graph relation visualization
  • Implemented backend-driven user behavior analytics (Mixpanel) to support A/B testing and retention analysis
  • Led an Amazon RDS MySQL migration from 5.7 to 8.0, coordinating rollout to minimize downtime across microservices

Ottawa, ON - 03/2023-06/2023

  • Developed a high-throughput survey platform using React and Express.js, sustaining 1,000+ TPS with ~400 ms p95 latency
  • Designed and implemented a schedule-based email microservice using the outbox pattern for reliable event handling
  • Introduced Redis-based in-memory caching, improving read throughput and response time by ~10x
